Terms and Conditions

Early-access version.

These terms are an early-access summary and will be replaced by our full terms before general release. They are not legal advice, and we recommend reviewing them with your own adviser if you rely on them commercially.

1. Our role

HosTrader is a marketplace. We introduce hosts to independent professionals. We are not the employer of any professional and we do not carry out the work ourselves. The contract for the work is between the host and the professional.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your login secure and be authorised to act for the properties or business you add. We may suspend accounts that misuse the platform.

3. Jobs and bookings

Hosts are responsible for describing the job accurately, providing safe access and approving completion fairly. Professionals are responsible for attending as agreed, holding the qualifications and insurance they claim, and completing work to a reasonable standard.

4. Verification

We review documents professionals submit and label only approved profiles as verified. We do not guarantee the accuracy of documents supplied to us, and hosts remain responsible for their own checks where their insurance or letting agreement requires them.

5. Payments and fees

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. When our payment provider is connected, hosts authorise payment at booking, funds are held, and the balance is released to the professional after host approval, less the platform fee. Until then, payment features are marked as test mode and no live charge is taken.

6. Cancellations

Either side may cancel before a professional is on the way. Late cancellations may be recorded against the account and, once live payments are enabled, may attract a fee.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our liability to you is limited to the platform fees we have received in relation to the job concerned.

8. Independence

HosTrader is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with Airbnb or any other booking platform.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
