HosTrader is a UK short-let trades marketplace based in the West Midlands. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the personal data described below.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, telephone number and account type.
• Host data: property names, addresses, access notes and job details you choose to add.
• Professional data: business details, services, coverage area and the verification documents you upload.
• Job data: messages, photographs, checklists, statuses and reviews.
• Payment records: amounts, fees and status. Card details are handled by our payment provider, not by us.

Why we use it

• To match jobs with suitable professionals and run bookings.
• To verify professionals and keep properties and people safe.
• To handle payments, invoices, complaints and disputes.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

Access details

Access codes and key-safe instructions are never shown publicly. Job-specific access details are released only to the professional confirmed for that job.

Sharing

We share only what is needed: job and contact details with the professional you confirm, and data with our hosting, database and payment providers acting on our instructions.

Retention

We keep job and payment records for as long as needed for accounting, insurance and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, and object to certain processing. Email privacy@hostrader.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
